AmatuerWire is looking for volunteers!

With recent news that HamShack Hotline is shuttering its doors, AmateurWire is gearing up to expand. We need volunteers in all areas. People who would like to donate some of their time to helping resolve support tickets, People who would like to help keep news articles up to date, People who would like to work on the knowledge base and keep that going and more. I am even ready to welcome anyone who wishes to host other PBX systems under the AmateurWire name that can all be linked together into one large system.

Right now we will take this as it happens but if things go as we expect they may, AmateurWire will be looking to restructure itself so that we can continue to operate efficiently and in the best interest of our users. So if this sounds appealing to you and you would like to help contribute in any way possible we are looking forward to working with you.

Anyone wishing to get involved can contact myself (KE8LCM) or Shawn (KG4BHR) either via email, on our discord server or on our live video chat at https://meet.ke8lcm.com/ke8lcm

Hamshack Hotline is a service which currently has around 6000 users. AmatuerWire is a service which currently only holds around 500. With the closing of Hamshack Hotline this is going to leave a large hole in the Amateur Radio VOIP services field that AmateurWire and I’m sure our friends at Hams Over IP are ready to fill. We can always use your support so if you have time and the ability volunteer, donate or whatever you can do to help our projects keep the VOIP services alive.
